A framed cabinet construction consists of the cabinet back, floor, sides, and a front stabilizing frame anchoring the box together. The frame is made of 3/4" thick solid wood material, and is generally 1 1/2" wide.
On a Framed Standard Overlay cabinet, the door covers 1/2" of the frame stock, leaving a 1" reveal around the doors and drawer fronts.
On a Framed Full Overlay cabinet, the door covers 1 1/4" of the frame stock, leaving a 1/4" reveal around the doors and drawer fronts.
On cabinets greater than 36" wide, a center partition on the frame is needed for additional strength and stability.
